Salsa is a partnered dance where the lead dancer leads the follower through a series of dance sequences involving turn and spins which are generally danced to Salsa music. Salsa danced sequences can be broken out of partner work to dance solo, this also known as Salsa shine footwork.

There are 2 main types of Salsa which are known as linear and circular. The type of Salsa that we teach is Linear Salsa dancing which is where dancers remain in their place, then switch over these places in a linear formation.

Many different styles of Salsa dancing have evolved around the world throughout the years. Salsa dancing originated with New York style which is danced on 2.
